Breakfast

This morning I am going to have two eggs scrambled with two corn tortillas, pan fried. I am very, very hungry right now...

I know I shouldn't pan fry the tortillas, but they are really great that way. At least they are corn and not flour.

I will also have my juice and coffee w/ cream.

Yum.

The Avoided Topic

Exercise...

I was going so good in the last winter through the spring, and the results were definitely showing...

I was getting up and getting to the gym by 5:30 a.m. and doing 45 min. or more on the stair master, I mean eliptical trainer. Taking the occassional class, lifting weights...and then problems with health.

They thought I had a heart issue and I had to have an angiogram in the hospital...that turned out to be nothing, but they told me to stop working out immediately until they completed the angiogram. When the angiogram came up negative they sent me to a neurologist. He had me do an MRI and noticed I had a big brain! The big brain thing sent me to a PT and because they didn't know if the big brain was congenital, I was to wait to work out. PT didn't want me doing anything really strenuous...

The result: a huge weight gain (20+ since April), a huge gut, and now no motivation to start all over again...

No I've had my second MRI proving essentially that the brain is a stable condition, I can work out, but now I'm with flu...

It seems like it has always been something...and truthfully I'm not even ready to go to the gym right now...

Maybe I could start pilates again...that is how I started working out before...got into pilates...

Now that Alana is in school, I have all morning to do it...and I love the way my body feels...so limber and flexible, and then it motivates me to inrease my work outs...

As soon as I can breathe again and my throat isn't on fire, I'm going to get back to pilates.

Chewing

I guess I have to keep harping on myself about this. Yesterday when I ate dinner with Lisa (she is about 100 lbs.) I observed that I was nearly finished with my wrap while she still had 1/2 to go, and I was talking more than she was also...

Conclusion: I don't pay attention at all to eating...I really have to be more deliberate. Chew slowly, small bites, etc.

More Groceries

I should also get some chicken so I can have foot make curry on Saturday, and I can make some chicken soup

Analyzing Yesterday

Well, I did great up until the last...the last thing I had, avocado, cheese, crackers & tomato. The avocado and tomato were fine, but the cheese and crackers...no good. The crackers will just be converted to sugar in my blood stream, and the cheese is too high of a calorie source for that late at night...what to do, what to do...going to search for alternatives.

The Rest of the Story...

Well, later, I ate a spinich/shrimp wrap w/ Lisa like I did yesterday. Then I had a piece of Alana's quesidilla, albeit a small one. A little later I had some crackers, cheese, tomato and avocado...

More...

Well, after the last post I ate four baby carrots dipped in peanut butter & sunflower seeds, and then I ate a piece of whole wheat toast w/ spinach and a boca mushroom patty. Later I had two bites of a caramel apple and then a piece of wheat bread w/ peanut butter.

New Day

Tomorrow is another day...

Okay...here is what I've eaten so far today:

6:30 - 1/2 bagel w/ cream cheese and tomato

9:00 - 2 eggs srambled w/ tons of spinach and some tomato


I really need to consciously get in the habit of eating more slowly and deliberately. I have got to chew my food more thoroughly...

I am going to make a pork loin for our dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow.

Analyzing Yesterday

When I analyze yesterday's diet, I see that I ate way too much cheese (1 + 1/2 bagel w/ cream cheese, cheese sauce) and I ate way too much flour products. I should buy only whole wheat bagels, instead of the white flour bagels I have. At least the tortilla was whole wheat, and the pasta was 1/2 whole wheat. Oh, I forgot, last night my friends came over and we had a large glass of wine and I had a small glass of baileys on ice, and they brought over sweet potato and regular potatoe fries and I ate some of them. Not a lot, but enough to matter. I also had a bananna and five butterfly crackers before going to bed so that I could take my medicine. So, the fries and baileys I should have skipped, and I should have had a 1/2 piece of wheat toast instead of the crackers...

Overall better than the day before.

Last Night

Well, last night I said I was going to have sunflower seeds and an apple, but I had an apple and 1/2 bagel w/ cream cheese and avocado and tomato. A much higher calorie count!

Hungry Again!

I'm already hungry again! I just ate about one hour ago. I had a whole wheat tortilla stuffed w/ spinach, grilled shrimp, 1/4 avocado, carrots, onion and tomato doused w/ rice wine vinegar. So why am I now hungry???

Here is what I have eaten today:

1/2 bagel w/ cream cheese, tomato, onion at about 6:45 a.m.

1/2 bagel w/ cream cheese and tomato at about 9:00 a.m.

1 Bananna 9:15 a.m.

1 Can of Chicken Dumpling Soup 11:00 a.m.

1 Bowl of Pasta w/ cheese sauce and spinach 2:30 p.m.

and then the Totilla Wrap at 4:50

It is now 6:12 p.m. and I am hungry. What should I have? I guess I have an apple, fruit never seems to fill me up. Maybe I should have an apple and sunflower seeds???

Sounds good. That's what I'm doing.
